The City of Akron is continuing to prepare for the coming solar eclipse.
NASA says the April 8th event will cross North America, passing over Mexico, the United States, and Canada.
The eclipse will travel through twelve American states including Ohio.
Mayor Shammas Malik announced this week that the city will have viewing locations available at nine community centers, all four city parks, and at a city-sponsored event in the parking lot behind the Spaghetti Warehouse on South Main Street.
