Former State Representative Bob Young's wife is testifying against him in court.
On Tuesday morning, the trial began against Young which stems from a domestic violence and assault incident in July.
In court, Young's wife said Bob hit her in the face following an argument at their home in Green and that she didn't immediately call 9-1-1 because she was scared of Bob and felt like he would make her pay for it if she called the police.
Young opted for a bench trial, meaning a judge would hear and decide the case.
