Charges will not be filed against a group of Massillon high school football players accused of inappropriate behavior against a teammate.
Investigations into allegations that Washington High School players ripped off the pants of a teammate and left him naked on the football field were recently completed by police and the school district.
Stark County Prosecutor Kyle Stone yesterday said that while the behavior of the students involved was inexcusable, it did not rise to the level of criminal action.
During the investigations, head coach Nate Moore was placed on leave with pay in July but was allowed to return to work two weeks later.
Reports say the victim of the incident, and his family, did not want to pursue criminal charges.
