Tomorrow’s National Grilled Cheese Day and a restaurant is bringing back the most expensive one.
New York City’s Serendipity 3 holds the World Record for the Most expensive sandwich…at $214… and here’s why.
It’s made with French Pullman champagne bread, made with Dom Perignon Champagne.
The bread is covered in grass-fed white truffle butter before being filled with slices of Caciocavallo Podolico cheese.
The sandwich is then toasted until golden and the edges are then gilded in 23-karat edible gold.
The sandwich is served with a side of South African Lobster Tomato Bisque.
If you’re interested in trying it out, you’ll have to wait until next year since orders are taken 48 hours in advance.
