27 YEAR OLD HANIYYAH BARNES OF NEWARK, New Jersey pleaded guilty yesterday to breaking into her neighbors home, grabbing a 2 year old Shih Tzu dog and throwing the animal into oncoming traffic.  The dog was struck by a vehicle and killed.  Why would someone do such a thing?  It seems she was fighting with her neighbor over a parking space.  Charges were burglary, animal cruelty and theft.  She'll be sentenced in July.  Prosecutors want 6 years in prison, a $2,600 fine, anger management classes, drug and alcohol counseling and would not be permitted to own, buy or live with an animal for 10 years.  That sounds about right.

HERE IN AKRON, A 20 YEAR OLD MAN MET a woman on Facebook.  So far so good.  When the man returned the woman to her house (I guess it was their first date) she said she had to call someone to let her in.  The woman then walked around to the back of the house while two men came out the front door, approached the man (one of the dudes had a gun) dragged him from the car, shot the gun into the air and threatened to kill him.  They then stole his wallet, his cellphone and just for good measure, his car.  These nutjobs are dangerous and Akron police would like to know if you see a 2006 Impala with Ohio license #LILJPW.

WE'LL TALK ABOUT THIS TOMORROW, BUT let me give you a heads up here.  Get ready to start paying tolls on interstate highways (you know I-77, I-76, I-271).  It seems this is how the country will pay for upkeep of our expressway system.  More on that in the morning at 9am on 640 WHLO.  Jim
