OUR FIRST THREE DAY WEEKEND of the year is right around the corner, so here's what's up for the Memorial Day holiday....

THE OHIO VETERANS' MEMORIAL Park in Clinton will hold a candlelight vigil Monday evening at 8:30.  This will pay tribute to those who have given their lives for our country.

TONIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING, Mike Polk Jr. will headline the shows at The Funny Stop Comedy Club in Cuyahoga Falls. (by the way, this is the fellow who is now famous for the "Factory of Sadness" video)  Tonight is WKDD night along with Veteran ID night.  Two shows on Friday and Saturday at 8pm and 10:30pm.  Info is available at www.funnystop.com.

THE ANNUAL KENMORE COMMUNITY DAYS celebration kicks off today at Prentiss Park.  Activities include a parade on Saturday at 11am, a fireworks show Sunday at 9:45pm and plenty of rides, food and live entertainment.

THE AKRON RUBBERDUCKS RETURN HOME Friday night to start a four game series with the Reading Phillies.  Fireworks follow the Friday contest and Sunday and Monday's games are afternoon affairs.  Tickets and information available at the Canal Park box office or on line at www.akronrubberducks.com.

ONE LAST WEEKEND TO CATCH THE "Ring of Fire" show at the Actors Summit inside Greystone Hall in downtown Akron.  This live performance, featuring the music of Johnny Cash, ends on Sunday.  Check out www.actorssummit.org for times and tickets.
