GUN VIOLENCE HAS GIVEN BIRTH to a new industry...bulletproof items for children.  A company in Oklahoma (ProTecht)  is producing, among other things, a bulletproof blanket that can be secured to a students back.  Other products include backpacks and iPad cases.  The blanket, by the way sells for as little as $995 to $1195.  Another company (BulletBlocker) is advertising that it can make ANYTHING bulletproof.

A NEW HAMPSHIRE WOMAN HAS been charged with ransacking her fathers grave.  The father, a prominent businessman, died in 2004 and was buried in a cement vault.  According to police, she & others broke into the grave and opened the casket.  What were they looking for?  His will (apparently she wasn't in it).  What did they find?  The body and a pack of cigarettes.  He has been reburied, she is in jail.

IF YOU LOOK ELSEWHERE ON THIS site, you'll find the picture of a green puppy.  Nobody knows why the hound was born with a green tint, but it reportedly glows in the dark.  The pup is in tough shape but is fighting for survival.

WITH FATHERS DAY RIGHT around the corner, you might find this interesting.  More and more fathers are becoming stay at home dad's...and it's not because they can't find work.  They WANT to, and apparently their wives don't mind.

TODAY IS FRIDAY THE 13th and if that scares the bejabbers out of you, you probably suffer from Paraskevidekatriaphobia.  Now you know.

A GRANDFATHER IN ENGLAND had a life threatening blood clot in his leg and was being rushed to the hospital by ambulance...that is until the vehicle stopped on the side of the road to pick up a hitchhiker.  SHE was wearing a skimpy skirt and well you know....

HERE'S TO A HAPPY FATHERS DAY on Sunday.  If your pop is a car fan, I recommend the Classic Car Show this Sunday at Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens.  It's the best.

I'LL BE OFF ON MONDAY AND MY friend 'Captain Tony' will be filling in.  Be nice to him.  JIM
