The driver in Saturday's fatal tanker truck crash along Route 8 in Macedonia has been identified.
Thirty-one-year-old Jason Thomas Stevens from Ashtabula was familiar with the route, according to family members.
They tell the local media that he was expecting it to be a short workday and that he'd be home to his wife and daughter by noon that day.
Stevens was an experienced semi-truck driver for years and had been driving for Kenan Advantage Group Inc. in North Canton since October 2020.
