Akron police are investigating after a Taco Bell employee shot a robbery suspect.
On Monday night, a 35-year-old man fired a shot at a 21-year-old worker during an armed robbery at the Taco Bell on South Arlington Street.
The shot fired by the suspect missed the worker, but the worker returned fire and struck the suspect in his upper body.
The suspect then fled from the scene with cash but later arrived at a local hospital, where he is listed in serious but stable condition.
Both the robbery suspect and the person who drove him to the hospital are facing charges.
