Taylor Swift has been using proceeds from her concert tickets to donate to local food banks during her "Eras" tour. Second Harvest of Silicon Valley, which serves San Mateo and Santa Clara counties, was one of the beneficiaries, with its chief philanthropy officer, Shobana Gubbi expressing immense gratitude.
"We are so grateful to Taylor for using her platform for good and for supporting food banks across the country during her Eras tour. Here in Silicon Valley, where the level of need has risen again to peak pandemic levels, her generous donation will assist in our ongoing efforts to provide nutritious food,” Gubbi shared.
Beyond Second Harvest, Swift has also contributed to other food banks such as the Arizona Food Bank Network and Seattle's Food Lifeline. These are only the food banks that have been confirmed by CNN, and Swift may have donated to other food banks during her tour.
