Katy Perry Reportedly Wants To Quit "American Idol"

There’s trouble in the audition room as one “American Idol” judge allegedly wants to leave the network singing competition. Embattled judge- and pop star- Katy Perry has been dodging criticism from a number of directions lately.

Sources say Perry feels “thrown under the bus by producers” in the wake of being accused of “mom-shaming” hopeful contestant Sara Beth Liebe. The singer also elicited boos from the audience after what some perceived to be a harsh criticism of contestant Nutsa Buzaladze’s wardrobe.

“Nutsa, every time you take the stage it’s like you glitter bomb the stage,” she said. “Listen, one thing that I would like to see from you is not one piece of glitter the next time. I know that is going to be hard.” The response from the crowd was… not kind.

And now insiders close to the situation report that Perry is looking to potentially make an exit after six seasons. The “Daily Mail” says Perry thinks she is being edited by the show to make her appear to be the “nasty judge.” The “Roar” singer hasn’t commented on the story.
