500 Pounds Of Cooked Pasta Found Dumped In New Jersey Stream

Here’s a story that combines local politics and pasta. A former candidate for the town council in Old Bridge, New Jersey, says she was told that someone had dumped cooked pasta beside a local stream.

Nina Jochnowitz went out and took pictures of the roughly 500 pounds of cooked pasta that had been dumped by the stream and posted the pics to Facebook.

She says the town had been notified of the find but didn’t clean it up until after she had posted about it on social media.

It’s not clear how long the pasta had been there, who dumped it there, or why it was dumped.

Jochnowitz says that Old Bridge is the only town in the county that doesn’t have bulk garbage pickup.
