A Michigan school district is banning all backpacks -- even clear, plastic ones -- over concerns of firearms and threats.

The Flint Community Schools Board of Education adopted the ban at its meeting last Tuesday.

They say that even clear backpacks don’t solve the issue.

The ban will remain until the end of the school year.

Students may use clear plastic bags instead.
