Tennessee Police Involved In 20-Mile Low-Speed Chase Of Emu

When you hear about police involved in a city-wide manhunt and then a 20-mile chase to catch the suspect, you’re not thinking “emu,” but that was the case in Harriman, Tennessee last week when someone’s pet emu escaped and sparked the seven-hour hunt.

Police finally cornered the bird, and his owner showed up and called him over to him, then took the emu named MeeMoo back to his farm.

As a final note, MeeMoo and his lady friend MeeMee are caring for multiple eggs at the moment, so there’s no guarantee that this won’t happen again with the next generation.
